Sawubona ( sow-BOH-nah, Zulu for “I see you”) Leaders answer that call. By recognizing people “already” are their best self, Sawubona Leaders see each person as intrinsically gifted in the way they are. They develop the whole person so they live up to their highest potential. By serving a person’s highest purpose, Sawubona Leaders unleash an inner drive; employees choose to go beyond what is expected; they invest in themselves, their work, their organizations and a greater good committed to changing the world for the better. Today, Sawubona is in over thirty countries.

Because of her exceptional results with millennials and their leaders, Susan has been tapped for numerous consultations, articles, podcasts, speaking engagements, workshops, and leadership forums such as Young Presidents Organization, USC Women’s Conference, and National Association of Women Business Owners Conference. Using Conversational Intelligence ® and the latest brain neuroscience, Carol helps her clients understand which conversations spark our higher-level brain activity such as trust, integrity, strategic thinking and empathy. This in turn fosters an inclusive, aligned culture that welcomes and encourages ongoing feedback and conversations – even when they may be difficult or uncomfortable.

Carol uses an experiential coaching model with individuals and with teams. This helps clients develop and live in a mindset that embraces experimentation and risk-taking, the necessary elements of innovation and creativity. Carol works with her clients to become the best version of themselves, as individual contributors, as leaders and as team members.

Carol has coached in both the public and private sector. Her clients include many colleges in the Ontario College System, the Private Not for Profit College system and in various departments in both the Federal and Provincial Government as well as several Technology firms and start-ups.

Carol’s focus is on self-awareness, and being honest with oneself underlies everything she does with clients. Her knowledge/belief that change comes from within guides how she works with clients longing to create their best life, as a leader, but even more so as an individual. She believes that re-connecting clients to the story that guides them is the ultimate self awareness because it gives them the opportunity to notice the gaps and then to edit and rewrite their story so that it supports their vision of who they are becoming.

Denise O’Leary

Founder of Purpol Marketing, Wiltshire, UK

Denise O’Leary was born in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, and retained her love of the countryside, now living in Chippenham with her husband, Malc, and a large selection of wildlife including their beloved hedgehogs.

Denise launched Purpol Marketing in 2014, as a home-based business offering brand, marketing and bid strategy consultancy specialising in the manufacturing and construction industries. From railway brake engineering via plastic drainage to construction, Denise saw the marketing ‘fluff’ delivered by some agencies and wanted to offer credible, hard-headed and logical suggestions to clients that actually work. Denise spotted a gap in the market for a tailored service for high-level bid support and marketing director expertise on a ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis. Winning has become a business for Denise, as a multi-award winner and professional bid writer, who has helped clients win opportunities valued at over £3.5bn. From marketing construction to chocolate, lingerie to legionella monitoring, the company Denise built has helped businesses of all types and sizes create winning marketing campaigns and successful bids.

Her love of winning started with ‘slogan’ competitions. Denise studied competitive behaviour as her thesis for a bachelor’s degree, gaining a first; and she wrote about the impact of the internet for her Master of Arts degree, gaining a distinction. From winning TVs to mountain bikes, holidays and even two years’ worth of tights, Denise understands what makes a compelling competition entry and has transferred this knowledge into winning business awards. Denise writes for many large companies and trains staff in bid writing. She also speaks nationally and internationally on “how to win”.

Denise is passionate about sharing her winning secrets so other business owners can gain recognition, and she has won dozens of awards herself alongside those for her clients including 2 International Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, Best Business Woman in Marketing, Best Independent Consultant and #GBEA GoDo Entrepreneur of the Year.

In January 2020, Denise is launching her new book Winner – How to Win Business Awards to share her proven award-winning process and help all businesses to find awards to enter, know what evidence to gather and the techniques for maximum entry standout.

Natasha Waldron

Founder of UKG Lifestyle, https://www.ukglifestyle.co.uk/, UK

Natasha Waldron used to be a professional ballerina at The Royal Ballet Company. Reaching her 30s made her realise that she needed to leave the world of dance and prepare herself for the business world. Natasha started her business armed with little more than passion and determination.  Her early career as a ballerina, taught her nothing about the commercial world, so it was a steep learning curve to overcome.

Eventually she established UKG Lifestyle in 2007, initially as a concierge company. However, her focus was on providing excellent cleaning services. The following two years were spent learning about business in general – payroll, invoicing, networking, marketing and understanding what clients wanted from a cleaning service.  Armed with this knowledge, she began building the foundations of the business she has now, UKG Cleaning being the first in the UKG Lifestyle group.

As the business grew, Natasha started getting enquiries from the families of cleaning clients, asking if she could provide care services, due to her reliable and caring cleaning staff.  The frequency of enquiries led her to realise there was a genuine need for good-quality, reliable care for clients in their own homes, and she felt compelled to do something about it. This evolved into UKG Care, the company was inspected in 2017 and rated ‘good’ overall and ‘outstanding’ for caring.

18 months ago Natasha took the next step and founded a training Academy, which now offers accredited and recognised qualifications for her own staff as well as other external organizations, named UKG Lifeskills. Along her new journey, the business has continued to enjoy steady growth and continued re-investment.

It is Natasha’s passion for learning and her own life experiences that have fuelled her desire to help others ‘be the best they can be’, through training, education and employment. Her company UKG Lifestyle now employs around 180 staff across all group companies and is on track for more branches for UKG Care, growth of commercial contracts for UKG Cleaning and has a 400+ trainee intake for UKG Lifeskills.

‘’I am a strong advocate of ‘living your best life’.Taking life into your own hands, realising you have choices and making the most of every opportunity. I believe that continual personal development gives us the strength to deal with whatever life throws at us and as a result allows us to be comfortable with our decisions and enjoy greater happiness.” –Natasha Waldron

Marina Newington

Founder of the award nominated PowerSystem, https://www.marinanewington.com/, UK

Marina Newington, the founder of award nominated PowerSystem, is an internationally-qualified IIN Health Coach, a Columbia Business School MBA, a best selling author and speaker.

Marina understands first-hand the pressures of the different roles required from women today. After working in finance and marketing for large companies, then raising a family of four children, she felt completely exhausted: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

This exhaustion and lack of motivation led Marina on a personal journey to regain balance in her life, find more time, restore energy, and rediscover her confidence. In short: she had to get her POWER back.

Having gone through this journey herself, Marina wanted to help other women who were struggling with similar issues. She retrained and qualified as an International Health Coach at IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition) and began working with women to make them feel good about themselves again.

With the insights she gained from going through her personal transformation, and her early work with women in similar situations, Marina created PowerSystem, a 5-step process for clarifying goals and removing the obstacles to success to get the confidence and energy to take on the world!

Today, Marina works with entrepreneurial women to set the groundwork in their own lives so they can clarify their goals, set realistic tasks and create a roadmap to find success in their chosen fields. Marina helps women live their best lives through her unique methodology, coaching, and public speaking.
