Princess Glory: Why I Built an Organic Products Company and Pain Clinic— Heal Your Body Through Food

0

Glory Edward Organic believes in the mission of spreading naturally cultivated products that are sustainably sought and sourced by land and sea. They strive to be more than a simple store for shoppers but are providers of a solution to many health disasters including a product called Womanhood that they are proud to provide.

Their strategy includes using an evidence-based approach rather than selling what most of their competitors are selling or what offers the most profit. This approach is measured by the evidence of solutions arising from their products. The company Glory Edward Organic does not avoid its priorities in this sense, and this is true of the founder whose favourite book is a testament to her productivity, as Glory tells us about the Pomodoro strategy to learning and other interesting methods you may know that she has personally used. Glory has noticed that we tend to over-eat and the trend towards eating alone tells us things about the foods we are choosing. In this interview, read about how Glory Edward Organic are sourcing their ingredients in an innovative way and ushering in the future of organic produce. Learn about their Pain Clinic started just last year and their treatment plans that aim to overcome pain as quickly as possible.

How would you summarise Glory Edward Organic’s one “why,” the one thing that drives the company, in 1 paragraph?

We believe in promoting health in our communities through organic, natural, and sustainable products, and acting sustainably and ethically as a business. We strive to be more than just a shop. We want to do more for our clients & customers. We believe that natural is better for us and for the environment, so we have never sold food which contains artificial sweeteners, flavours, colours, preservatives, or any genetically modified food and products.

What is your favourite product sold by Glory Edward Organic and what are its benefits?

The favourite product used by women from our product range is Womanhood. Glory Edward Nutrition Womanhood calms spasms in the hands and feet, abdominal spasms, nervous twitches, spasms of the genitourinary tract, smooth muscle spasms; especially uterine cramping, angina, and migraine headaches. Our product, Womanhood is used extensively for women’s reproductive health. It can be used for symptoms associated with dysmenorrhea including cramping, heavy bleeding, bloating (breast and abdominal), acne at ovulation or right before the period, etc. Womanhood can help to relieve pelvic stagnation that results in dark blood, clotting, delayed menstruation, premenstrual anxiety, and irritability. Womanhood can be used to alleviate polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), Fibroids, elevated androgens, low progesterone, and estrogen excess.

Where has Glory Edward Organic outperformed the competition and what do you think allowed this?

Our nutrition consultation is an engaging experience where clients feel comfortable about discussing their health concerns and then jointly agreeing on a treatment route. Our specialists use an evidence-based approach and offer support and guidance to address the root causes of many common ailments and chronic conditions such as digestive and bowel disorders, low energy issues and weight management. Our consultations are based around the client as an individual with a unique set of health concerns and goals to provide a holistic approach to identify factors that may be impacting to the overall health of the individual. We believe in promoting health in our communities through organic, natural, and sustainable products, and acting sustainably and ethically as a business. We believe that natural is better for us and for the environment, so we have never sold food which contains artificial sweeteners, flavours, colours, preservatives, or any genetically modified food and products. We pride ourselves on catering for a huge range of dietary requirements from vegan to gluten-free, vegetarian to dairy-free.

What is the global attitude towards food today and how are you changing it with Glory Edward Organic?

We tend to over-eat for many different reasons. Some of us eat to make ourselves feel better, some from boredom, and some due to emotional stresses. We tend to use food to help satisfy our emotional needs—not because we are actually hungry. Others overindulge simply out of habit. Convenience meals are becoming very popular among professionals. A growing tendency to eat alone and an increase in food miles are making more people settle for low-grade, nutritionally poor alternatives. Our eating habits are often deeply ingrained, but with a little work and persistence they can be changed, and this is worth pursuing for a healthier and happier you. Glory Edward has made it easy by making ready meals or offering healthy alternatives to clients and fresh smoothies are made on request. Our most popular drink is our ginger shot.

How do you source your spices and products? Can you give us an idea of what your general method for sourcing & distributing organic products is?

We source our ingredients from approved suppliers all over the world. Some products arrive to us by sea, some by road. We work very closely with our suppliers when sourcing ingredients so we can be confident our products have come from a responsible supply chain (which means our suppliers are committed to fair social and environmental standards). We take great care to select only the best quality products and our ingredients are always non-irradiated, GM free and do not contain any unnecessary additives (such as colourings). We don’t just stop there though as our suppliers go through a rigorous process for approval and are always certified to specific standards, so you can be confident the ingredients you buy have come from a responsible supply chain. We source from British organic farms. Our teams are trained to give unbiased advice on whatever you’d like help with, from which supplement to take or which products suit your dietary requirements. Our Health and Skincare department will always have a trained advisor on hand to help you with any queries and many of our team members are qualified nutritionists and naturopaths. Glory Edward Organic brand products, the food cooked in our kitchens, our juices, our smoothies—are all made in store in an organic and natural process. We believe organic is the most sustainable way to farm and we believe organic, natural food and products are the best for our health. We deliver top quality natural and organic wholefoods, and related healthy living products, directly to homes and businesses across the UK.

What has been the greatest improvement in the last year at Glory Edward Organic, a company that continually improves to ensure customer satisfaction?

In 2022 we set up our Pain Clinic with specialism in creating individually tailored treatment plans to beat pain as quickly as possible. We are proud to work with the most advanced diagnostic tools and leave no stone un-turned. Whether the pain is musculoskeletal, neuropathic or any other type of pain, we can help. We have treated clients with spine pain, including lower back pain, neck pain, thoracic pain or sciatica. We are familiar with the whole-body pain, severe fatigue and sleep disturbance that is a part of fibromyalgia. In the majority of patients, fibromyalgia is the primary diagnosis but in a significant number of cases it may be secondary to an underlying condition, for example an underactive thyroid, head pain, or neck pain.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and how do you manage burnout?

Yes, I have felt overwhelmed in the past, so I put strategies in place to reduce my stress. I write down my to-do list on Any.do app. It helps me remember daily and weekly tasks. When work is overwhelming it’s always refreshing to communicate with colleagues in my industry. I spend time with friends and family or rest my brain with movies on Netflix or television. I also use the Pomodoro method, which consists of working for 25-minutes periods and taking five-minute breaks between each set. After the fourth 25-minute period, you can give yourself a 15-minute break. Timing myself makes me more aware of how long it takes me to finish certain tasks. It also motivates me to push myself for a few more minutes to work longer on certain items.

What is the most popular book on your business-bookshelf, and can you give us a quote from it that changed your life forever?

Eat That Frog! By Brian Tracy, the book is all about overcoming procrastination and learning to manage your time. It’s normal to feel drowned in work, but when you learn to “eat your frogs” – meaning do your most important tasks first – you’ll work more efficiently and be happier too.
“The hardest part of any important task is getting started on it in the first place” — Brian Tracy “It doesn’t matter where you are coming from. All that matters is where you are going.” — Brian Tracy
